Spring Summary

Our Spring this year was abnormally dry. The old saying, “April showers bring May flowers” did not come true. Instead, we had a significant drought. As a result, there were wildfires in the region and our spring gardens took a toll. Below is a photo of a wildfire that broke out on Beans Creek Road in Buladean. We were able to watch the helicopters and jets gradually put it out from Amber Ranches. Thankfully, it only burned about 12 areas of land before it was extinguished…

FEMA Project

Thanks to the help of Chris Brooks and the Amber Ranches HOA, we were able to receive funding to help out with the damage that Hurricane Helene caused in our development.

We used this money to replace some culverts that were clogged and were able to replenish some of the roadbond that we lost. Here are some photos of the project…

Besides the FEMA project, we also continued our regular maintenance of roads and roadsides at Amber Ranches. The roadside weedeating and road scraping continued as usual. Here are some photos from Spring…

Summer 2026

Despite having an abnormally dry spring, our summer has been full of rain storms. The summer rains have helped to replinish the rainfall that we’ve needed so badly.

Summer work continued as usual. We weedeated roadsides, cleaned out culverts and ditches and scraped the roads like normal. The new culverts have functioned well even through some pretty strong thunderstorms.

In early September, the second phase of the FEMA project took place. It consisted of digging out the lower ends of all our culverts and redefining a lot of our rainwater run-off ditches. Here are some photos of the second phase as well as other photos from the summer…

Fall of 2026

Now that Fall is almost here, we plan to have some roadbond delivered to our roads. It’s important that we do this before the leaves and snow begins to fall.

Our last round of roadside weedeating will be wider so that the leaves will be more easily blown off from the sides of our roads. By weedeating these areas wider, it also prevents trees from growing up alongside our roads.
